How To Know When You're Ready To Scale

Are you self-sabotaging your success? Take a moment to think about this carefully. Are you limiting yourself and the things you can achieve because of your subconscious thoughts? It is so important to not limit your beliefs and the endless possibilities of growth and success that are coming your way.

We have talked about scaling your brand and the growth mindset you need to pursue your goals of expanding your business. As we’ve touched on before, paralyzing fears of scaling your business are not good and a lot of these fears and thought patterns can be subconscious. This means that you might not even be aware of it and it could be sabotaging the success you’re capable of achieving — which we don’t want you to be doing.

We understand that it’s hard to comb through all those subconscious limiting beliefs but one of the things that can be helpful is engaging in a lot of introspection through journaling, meditation and therapy. However, therapy may not be accessible to everyone so even just incorporating journaling, walking outside in nature, sitting with yourself or just doing anything to make time in your day to think about what your dreams would look like is perfectly fine too. This just means pondering to yourself about – what do you wake up and do? Where do you live? How do you make money? How much money do you have?

Money mindset is also something you might want to explore — do you believe that making a penny needs to be hard? Or is money hard to come by? You might be subconsciously rejecting more money by having a bad money mindset. We once had a client who didn’t have the best mindset toward money and she was able to work through it. She was severely undercharging for her products and afraid to look at her costs and profit margins. When she finally realized she could never seem to pay off her bills, she finally got the courage to do the work and the team here at Recloseted was able to work with her and help her clean up her finances. If you want a book to read on money mindset, You Are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero is a good one.

To stop subconsciously sabotaging yourself, you have to try your best to convert as much of your subconscious to your conscious. This allows you to be aware of the problems that are putting you down, which you weren’t even aware of before. If you don’t know what is going on, what issues are preventing you from achieving the success you deserve — you won’t be able to fix it. You need to start thinking the opposite of what you feel like. For example, if you have a subconscious limiting belief that you can’t make a living for yourself, your family and future employees with your business, start to say to yourself that you can. Put post-it notes everywhere, do affirmations but not only that, surround yourself with people that have done it so you can expand your mindset of what’s possible. That shift in between will be uncomfortable and you will feel friction, but it will get you to who you need to become.

And don’t forget! You will have to grow and turn into an improved version of yourself as an entrepreneur to get to the next level that you want to be at. It’s important to acknowledge that you may be subconsciously limiting your success by turning away opportunities, not seeking out certain changes, avoiding your fears of failure, etc. Take the first step and write down all of those things and make time to reflect through journaling, meditation, therapy – and anything else that works for you. Once you have the main limiting beliefs out in the open, start to actively work on them and start thinking differently about those items. Seek out the expanders in your life and keep encouraging yourself and telling yourself affirmations to push through those fears and challenges to grow your business.
